Great location on the banks of the Rhine River. Several wooded walking trails from the hotel. There is a water filtration pump station right next to the hotel that gives off a foul odor, which is unfortunate. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. Room was good.

The hotel is located in Altstadt of Basel on a quite street. It's 15 min by walk from Basel SBB or 2 stops away by street car. Museums, cafes restaurants, groceries, and other shops are short walk away from the hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall, I'm satisfied.

"On the whole, we were very happy with our stay here. However, there was one issue that caused us a problem in our apartment (306). Sometimes, there was a strong smell of sewerage on the upper floors but at other times it was ok. We couldn't work out if it was the drains or the air con. This was reported ..."
